Getting started

The visual swipe compare can be used in any completed operation to not only visually compare different layers of the same operation but also different operations of the same site. You can enable the swipe compare feature by clicking in the view button highlighted in pink below.

Some examples of how it can be used:

  1. Tracking progress in a construction site: By comparing the RGB layers from 2 different operations you can compare the progress that has been made. To do this first select the operation you would like to compare the one you are currently viewing to. Then in the layer drop down box select the RGB layer. Alternatively you could also compare Digital surface model layers to give you further insights into the progress that has been made.

2. Verifying corrective actions have had the desired impact: By comparing the thermal layers of 2 separate operations you will be able to verify that your corrective actions have had the solved the issue or if the issue persists. This can be useful to make sure that any soiling or vegetation issues have not caused any permanent damage to the panels.

3. Doing cause detection on heat signatures identified within an operation: By comparing the thermal and the RGB layer it can give an indication of what might be causing the heat signature. This can help target specific issues and develop targeted maintenance strategies.
