Sensor compatibility:
The Sitemark platform is not compatible with the UHR (sometimes called Super Resolution) photo mode on any of the DJI drones.
If you have a none DJI thermal sensor which is 1280 x 1024 resolution, please contact the Operations Team to discuss suitability.
What is UHR?
The majority of DJI thermal sensors have a native resolution of 640 x 512 pixels. This includes drones such as the M4T and M30T which also advertise that they can capture UHR (Ultra High Resolution) thermal imagery.
The UHR (Ultra High Resolution) mode increases the image resolution to 1280 x 1024 using software-based image enhancement techniques, specifically image upscaling with interpolation algorithms and proprietary DJI image processing. The thermal image is not captured natively at 1280 x 1024.
The Sitemark platform requires the native 640 x 512 images for processing and analysis.
Setting up the sensor:
1. In camera View mode select the IR image, so that it is visible on the screen.
2. Click on the settings button at the top right of the screen (indicated by a red arrow).
3. Click the 3 blue dots icon (red arrow) and then scroll down to UHR Infrared Image (green box).
4. The information text clearly describes what toggling this feature 'ON' will do. To be compatible with the Sitemark platform, UHR Infrared Image needs to be disabled.
