Monitoring Integration - Setup & configuration

Connecting your monitoring provider to Sitemark brings sensor readings from your sites directly into Sitemark.

Setup happens in two steps:

  1. You add your monitoring provider credentials at the company level.

  2. Sitemark support maps your monitoring devices to each site.


Step 1 - Add your monitoring provider credentials

You can do this yourself from your Sitemark account.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps.

  2. Filter by Monitoring to see the available providers.

  3. Click Connect on your provider.

  4. Give the integration a name and enter the credentials from your monitoring provider:

    • 3E SynaptiQ — username, password, and region (EU or US).

    • Meteocontrol VCOM — API key, username, and password.

    • For other providers please contact support

  5. Click Save.

Where do these credentials come from?
They're issued by your monitoring provider, not by Sitemark. If you don't already have API access, ask your monitoring provider's support team to create an API user for you.


Step 2 - Ask Sitemark support to enable monitoring on your sites

Adding the company-level credentials only gives Sitemark permission to talk to your monitoring provider. To actually pull data into each individual site, our team needs to map the right devices from your monitoring system to the right sites in Sitemark.

Once you've completed Step 1, contact Sitemark support with:

  • The list of sites you'd like monitoring enabled on.

  • The matching device or system IDs from your monitoring provider, if you have them handy. (No worries if you don't, we can usually figure it out.)

We'll handle the per-site mapping and let you know once it's live.


Step 3 - Check that it's working

Once support has configured a site, open it in Sitemark and go to the Monitoring tab. If everything's set up correctly you'll see:

  • A 7-day sparkline showing recent readings for each sensor.

  • Data in the monitoring dashboard


Troubleshooting

  • No sensors appear on the Monitoring tab. Step 2 isn't done yet, reach out to support and we'll finish the per-site mapping.

  • Status isn't green / data looks stale. Your monitoring provider may be rejecting the credentials (expired API user, changed password, etc.). Re-check the integration in Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps, or contact support.

  • My monitoring provider isn't in the list. Let support know which one you use, we're regularly adding new providers.
