Managing ticket notifications

Learn how to stay informed about your tickets through automatic notifications and comments.

How Do I Stay Notified About My Tickets?

Sitemark keeps you informed about your tickets through automatic notifications and comments. You can receive updates via email, in-app alerts, or both.

How Do Automatic Notifications Work?

You'll automatically receive notifications in two scenarios:

  • When a Ticket Is Assigned to You: When someone assigns a ticket to you, you'll be notified right away. You won't receive a notification if you assign a ticket to yourself.

  • When a Ticket Status Changes: When the status of a ticket changes (for example, from "Open" to "In Progress"), both the ticket creator and the assignee are notified. You won't be notified about changes you make yourself.

How Can I Notify Someone About a Ticket?

Use comments to notify specific team members about a ticket. When you mention someone using @ followed by their name, they'll receive a notification.

This is useful when you need input from a colleague or want to hand off a specific ticket to someone else.

Where Do I See My Notifications?

Click the bell icon in the sidebar in the web and at the top of the screen in Field Link to see your recent notifications. A badge shows how many unread notifications you have. Click any notification to go directly to the ticket.

How Do I Manage My Notification Preferences?

You can choose how you want to be notified for each type of update:

  1. Click your profile avatar in the bottom-left corner

  2. Edit Profile

  3. Notifications

  4. Toggle Email and In-App on or off for each notification type

💡 Your notification preferences apply to all companies you belong to.
