Schedules

You might know it as Work Breakdown Schedule or simply Construction Planning. Here's how it works in Sitemark

Updated this week

Schedules Overview

Schedules in Sitemark are the foundation of tracking progress throughout your project. By creating, or uploading, a schedule you will be able to track progress of your construction site exactly how it was planned.

🛠️ Creating a Schedule

There are two main ways to create a schedule: importing, or building manually.

For Importing:

If you have a schedule from a 3rd party schedule software, send it to your Customer Success Manager, and we will import it into the project.

For Manual Creation:

  • Navigate to "Schedules" within the operation

  • Click "Create Schedule"

  • Select "Start from Scratch"

    • Select "Create Activity"

    • Utilize your PDF schedule to fill in the information for each activity

      • "Component Type Link" refers to the component that is linked to this activity.

        • For example, if you are creating an activity for Pile Ramming, you would select "Piles" as the component.

      • Select the Region that this activity is linked to.

        • Regions can be based on inverter, zone, block, or custom.

      • Complete the start and stop dates for each activity you're tracking from the schedule

Here is an example of a Schedule Activity that is ready to go!

ℹ️ For automatic tracking (recommended), leave Completion Property and Total Material Target empty as Sitemark is already utilizing the information from your design files to track progress

Linking components

Linking components within a schedule line item enables the ability to track the progress of a component. Take a look :55 at the video above for the process of creating a schedule activity, linked to a component.

By linking a component to a schedule line you are giving the Sitemark platform the context it needs to understand what your schedule line is planning for and start automatic tracking your construction progress.

Once schedules are created, and a component is linked to the line item, your dashboards will automatically update showing you the completion percentage of each component being tracked.

The dashboard below shows the completed connection

Split By Region

Automatically separate your schedule items by the defined Regions

Split by Region allows for fast and easy tracking by the defined regions on your project. Once you have created your schedule and regions for the project in Sitemark, navigate to the line item that you are wanting to track by region.

Sitemark will create a specific activity to track the components for each specified region, allowing for granular and accurate tracking, without manual setup effort.

My schedule didn't update what should I do?

  • It takes 15 minutes before a recalculation happens. You'll see the progress tracking in the dashboards shortly.

  • Contact your CS manager if the problem persists, or reach out to our support team using the icon in the bottom right corner of Sitemark.
