User Management and Permissions

This article will help you add or remove users and manage permissions of users on your platform

Updated this week

Introduction

To make any changes to the users on your platform, click on the ‘Company’ icon highlighted in green below. Here you will be able to add and remove users to your platform as well as see the permissions that each user has.

User Management

After opening the Company page, you will have the option to open User Management. In the User Management section, you see all users with their name and email.

Adding a new user

In the top right corner of the User Management page, you have the option to add a new user. You can add a new user by entering the email and setting the permissions you would like them to have. When you press Invite, this new user will receive an email with the login details to access the Sitemark platform.

Deleting an existing user

On the User Management page, you have the list of users. Here you have the option to delete an existing user from your Sitemark platform.

Updating permissions of an existing user

Using the edit icon next to a user allows you to change the permissions of that user.

Permissions

At Sitemark we allow you to adjust the permissions that each user can have if you would like to limit some users to certain functions of the platform. Here is a list of the permissions available and what they do:

Design files management

A user with this permission can manage design files. Meaning that they can add and remove them.

This permission allows the user to upload, edit and delete PDF and DXF design files to the sites they have access to.

If they do not have this permission, the menu for design files will not appear on site level.

Site boundary editing

A user with this permission can edit the boundaries of an existing site.

Site Create

A user with this permission will be able to add new sites to the platform; without this permission, the user will only be able to view existing sites and order new operations if they have that permission.

Site Delete

A user with this permission will be able to delete existing sites and all the operations that are subsequently a part of those sites.

Please be aware to provide this access only to trusted users, as once a site is deleted, all information related with that site is deleted as well.

Operation list

A user with this permission will be able to view the operations tab on the sidebar at the left of the screen. Without this permission, they will not have this tab available, but they can still see individual operations by viewing them at site level.

Data products

Here is a list of the data products that Sitemark offers.

The data product permissions allow users to order operations for those data products. When ordering a new operation, you can see different sections. These are what the permissions are for.

Without these permissions, the user will not be able to order data products for that category.

Order

A user with this permission has the ability to order new operations for the company for the data products that they have permission for. Without this permission, the user will only be able to view the results and status of existing operations.

Analytics

A user with this permission will be able to view the results of an operation and will therefore be able to add comments, filter results, view statistics and export the data.

Without order or pilot permissions, this user can only see a very basic timeline overview of the operations.

Dashboard and Schedule

A user with this permission can access portfolio and site-level dashboards and schedules.

Pilot

A user with this permission has the ability to plan and fly missions in the platform, as well as adding equipment to the companies equipment list.

Billing

A user with this permission will be able to see billing information such as the invoice lines for quotes and the price of the operation.

You can access Billing by clicking on the Manage Company tab.

User Management

A user with this permission has the ability to add and assign permissions to new and existing users of the company.

Any user with this permission can only assign the same or fewer permissions to the new users it creates.

Portfolio Access

A user with this permission can access all sites in the company. Revoking this permission allows you to grant access on a site-by-site basis.

Site Access Management

A user with this permission can determine which users have access to the sites he/she has access to.

You can only edit this once you have deactivated Portfolio Access under Permissions.

Site List

A user with this permission can view the main Sites module of the platform.

If a user without this permission still has Operations List permissions, they can see individual operations.

Ticket Management

A user with this permission can assign tickets to users.

Update Tickets

A user with this permission can update tickets. For example, update progress on a task (To do > In progress > Resolved), adding comments, adding attachments, etc.

This permission does not allow the user to update the assignee, as this is related to Ticket Management permissions.

Ticket Closing

A user with this permission can move tickets to Closed status (Resolved > Closed).

Keep in mind that once a ticket is closed, this ticket won't be visible in the map but will only be visible on the main Tickets module on the left bar.
